Mustang won’t start after heavy rain

2013 mustang GT wont start after heavy rain. I felt around passenger side floor and behind kicker panel and feel no moisture. Anyone else ran into this problem?

How Long From Last Start to No Start! Is it a Vert? Did you Check Cabin Filter Area under Cowl Panel for Plugged Drains?? Might Also Check Door Drains!

Maybe a Long Shot But This Could Happen!

Sounds Like Something is Getting {Just Wet Enough} to Cause No Start. Evidence may Be Hard To Detect! Issue Can Only get Worse as Time Goes On. I would Pull Relays & Such at SJB and See if One Stands Out as Crustier Than the Others.

common problem is that the cowl drains get clogged, then the water overflows into the dashboard and SJB ... check the cowl drains, they are located on the firewall on the driver and passenger side, small black rubber boot-looking thing

Although your passenger side floor may not show any signs of moisture, it doesn't necessarily mean that your SJB wasn't exposed to water damage... If your drain plugs are clogged as the others have suggested? it's very possible you're carpeting on your passenger side floor has either dried out since first being exposed or wasn't severely exposed enough, to begin with... Therefore, check your drain plugs as suggested above...

If the drain plugs are not clogged up, then check your door plugs, especially on your passenger side... If no water has accumulated inside the doors, then I would recommend as the next troubleshooting step, to connect a hand-held scanning device to your vehicle's OBDII port and scan for any potential trouble codes... If you do not own or have access to a hand-held scanning device, you can always take your car to any local Advance Auto Parts location, and they will allow you to connect one of their hand-held scanners to your vehicle on site at no charge...
