MGW Race shifter

Anybody have it in yet? Was close to buying the old MGW but the snow came early and the car is parked. The new one sounds like the real deal. Really don't want to increase cabin noise or add a ton of vibration but my shifter is starting to get like everyone else's..... grrr

Look a little bit farther down in this section....I posted after installing mine. Quick follow up....shifts are positive, no added noise....there is a very slight added amount of vibration that I can feel...not through the shifter itself, but in the floor. It is very slight, but under hard acceleration I can feel it in the floor and the bottom of the drivers seat...I asked passengers if they feel anything they have all told me they can't.

Thanks! Not sure how I missed that one. Especially since I was looking for it. Must be getting old.

I think I just may have to pull the trigger on that one.

Shifter....Tune.....Better tires.....Lowering springs....

That looks like a pretty good order of events. Now if the wife would just see things our way!

I used to tell my wife.....I don't gamble, don't drink, don't smoke, don't go to strip clubs....I spend my time in the garage...you will always know where I'm at !!! She agreed and as long as I kept it reasonable when spending on the car there weren't any problems

I just returned from George's place in Augusta with my new shifter. He was gracious enough to install it free of charge. This is the latest design with the new side braces, securing the shifter solely to the trans unit. I highly recommend the composite knob as well for track use. It is grippy, large, and looks sick. The best part was listening to George talk about his favorite track car, his 302s.

So far so good. I need to test it on the track, where the trans gets hot and shifts are at 6k plus. I'm headed to VIR at the end of the month. By then, I should know more.
