Looking to get new tires on my 11' Brembos
Hi guys,
My stock P-Zeros are not dead after 7200 miles, but they are about 35-40% worn and I'm wanting to replace them in the near future.
First, with a 1 inch drop planned before so, what is the largest size tire I could go with on the brembos all the way around? (Width and sidewalls on 19X9 brembo rims) I am NOT a fan of super low profile tires.
The rear tires on this Stillen Mustang are about what I'm looking for as far as sidewall/width ratio goes...I just cant seem to find what size tires these are. any ideas?

I'd probably be looking at a 275/40-19 tire in your case. Just a little more sidewall than stock, and almost an inch wider, and about the widest tires that will work well on a 9" wide wheel. They just over 2% taller than the stock 255/40-19 tires, and there are a lot of tires available in the 275/40-19 size, including the Pirelli P-Zero tires, and they are even a little cheaper than the stock size.

This is a nice tool for measure the difference from stock of a number of tire sizes. I think the general rule is to stay within +3% of the height of the OEM tire to avoid any issues.

275/35/19 would work efficently over the stock 255/40/19s.
Stock.
Section Width: 10.03in
Sidewall Height: 4.01in
275/35/19.
Section Width. 10.82
Sidewall Height: 3.78
So you'll gain about 4/5 of an inch of rubber to road. And lose about 1/4 of an inch in terms of height...
You could try a 265/35... which would run you a 10.43 width and a side wall of 3.65" but in terms of which tire would be better- the 275s would fit better onto the rim.

Id like to see a 275/40/19 on the brembo wheels... that seems like a nice size.
I dont want to thread hjack...but if you were to get winter tires put on a brembo rim what size n brand would you go with?
OP if your dropping the car i wouldnt go with a bigger tire (sidewall height) IMO

I plan on going after these, they have the best reviews of tire rack and have a nice 300+ treadwear rating over the rest of the max performance tires.

set of 4 come in just under 1000, nice price too!!

Unfortunately none of the "Extreme Performance" summer tires like the RE-11, Dunlop Star Spec, Kumho XS, Hankook RS-3, etc are available in a good size for the Brembo package wheels. Several of them (the RE-11 and XS) are made in the 285/35-19 size, and it would probably fit on the 9" wide wheel, but all the manufacturers recommend a 9.5" wide wheel or wider for that size.

I've seen that one before. I just wouldn't be comfortable with it as it's outside Bridgestone's spec (they specify a maximum tire width of 275 on a 9" rim).

u just bought nitto 555 ZR's. 275/35r19
.45" lower profile than stock 27".
the worst thing that can happen with too wide a tire is inner tire wear. it willwear out in the middle pretty early.

I replaced my P zeros with 275/40ZR19 all around, as my tires were about shot at 11k. However, when I take a right turn, I hear a buzzing in lower right footwell. I don't know if the tires are the issue as they are oversized for the front, and may be causing this sound from the electric steering. Dealer wasn't concerned, but I think I will have them check it a little more thouroughly after the holidays.
