Leak on passenger side floor

Hey first post here, was just cleaning my 2011 5.0 about and hour ago and I noticed after I blasted the wheel well with the hose my passenger side floor was pretty wet. I used a shop vac to get majority out and I am running the heat. After pulling the plastic side panels off and pulling back the carpet it seemed to all be soaked into the carpet without any pools of water. It wasn't leaking from the ceiling or the doors but seemed to be coming from the top right of the wheel well inside the car and soaking in all of the right side of the carpet. Has anyone ever had this issue ? I can provide pictures if needed

It could be coming from the cabin air filter box.

Yep, probably just your cabin filter blocked.....

^^This^^ or, is your coolant (antifreeze) level going down? If so, could be your heater core or a hose going to it or coming from it leaking.

Check out the post in the warranty section on this site. My car is currently at the dealer because I was getting water inside the passenger side quarter panel. Another member found that it was coming from improperly sealed wheel wells. Do you hear water sloshing below the passenger side rear window when you hit the brakes hard or accelerate?

Welcome to the forum, jraymond394! I hope the info provided by these awesome members was helpful. If not, I recommend you speak with your service manager at your Ford Dealer and let me know the outcome. If you need to set up an appointment, you can do so here.

I took a look at the cabin air filter. It's dirty. And there is some water in that area where the filter sits. Where is the drain located for me to drain it out ?

jraymond394 Dec 16, 2014 03:01 PM

Nvm found the hole 😉 but quick question. Does that drain hole have a tube that runs all the way down or does it only have a smal 1inch tube that comes down

I'm not sure on the tube. My Mustang is garage kept so I have not as yet had the misfortune of having to clear debris out the cabin air filter housing.
