It didn't have the navigation and was an automatic transmission. It does have a lot of power. I have a 2008 GT/CS with a Ford Racing CAI & Brenspeed tune and the V6 probably wouldn't outrun it, but wouldn't be far behind. It's powerful. I started it up and went to the back to listen to the exhaust and I couldn't even hear it. Near silent. When I stomped it you could hear the engine and it does sound good. Not as deep as the V8 but darn close.
More importantly to me, the ride is near library quiet. The car came with Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season tires. It does ride considerably smoother than my 2008. Ford has made nice improvements on the car. The blind spot mirrors are a nice addition. The electronic power steering assist is about as smooth as possible. I don't have sync in my 2008, that would be nice. Of course, the salesman wanted me to trade my 2008 GT/CS but I told him I wouldn't do it unless he could give me 10% off MSRP and a $20,000 trade in on my car that has 68,000 miles on it. They offered 17,500 on my trade and $1000 off MSRP. I said no thanks but thanks for the offer.

Thanks for the report! I think a lot of us V6 buyers are going to be VERY happy with our purchase and not feel like we have to be relegated to "rental car" status.
Good job, Ford.

The glass roof was my main reason for the visit to the dealer. I want to install one from Classic Design Concepts on my 2008. I was concerned that it would be too bright all the time. It was a sunny day here today and it wasn't too bright for me. The only time it might be a little bothersome is when I'm facing the sun and the sun is in the far front drivers side showing through the glass roof. It is really neat and the factory glass roof has a mesh slider that shuts off almost all of the light from the glass roof.
If the glass roof that I get from Classic Design Concepts ends up being a little too bright for me, I can always install another layer of tint on the inside of the glass to lower the brightness. But, I don't think I'll need it.

Awesome. Now I'm REALLY glad I ordered the glass roof option at the last second. Too bad the pesky rollbars stop it from being a fully panoramic glass roof...

The 3.7L V6 is going to "pretty darn quick" for most guys.
The 5.0 is going to be "mind bending"....
At least if all you have is street experience.

Nothing at all wrong with the V6. Had I come to this car from a different perspective, I would probably have chosen the 6 instead. I think with this car, it doesn't matter: 6 or 8, either way we all win.

Looking on the window sticker the highway mpg says 31 but in smaller print says people will range 26 to 37 mpg! I think if driven around 55-60 mph on longer road trips this car could see 40 mph. 40 mph with 305 hp! That's progress.

I got the convertible so I can shut it all out or let it all in!

Sure it can get 40 mpg. My window sticker for my 08 GT/CS says 23 mpg highway but ranges from 19-27 mpg. I average around 28 mpg (not highway) on long trips all the time. Here lately, I have a ethanol free gas station 35 miles from me and have been filling up there and have been averaging 30 mpg since doing so. I do live in a mountain area and do shift to neutral and drift down hills. My father has been sick for the past 8 months and I go see him regularly and drive 55 most of the time on the trip. If I drive 70 mph on long trips I usually get 25 or 26 mpg so driving habits have a lot to do with it.

I think it's cool that Ford offers 3 roof options; hard top, convertible & glass roof. Does any other car have the glass roof option? I don't know of any. Just some with moon/sun roofs.

I believe the Flex and several Nissans have dual sunroofs/sunrooves (whichever is right) but I'm not aware of any that have an all-glass, one piece one like the Mustang.
