The shortened shock is more beneficial when your trying to maintain a better ride.
Yeah I'm not planning on a full coilover, at least not now. Besides, that's going to ride really rough and price is too steeeeep

If anything fails, while being correctly installed, it will be taken care of, period. We can only have a guarantee like this because every single part of the Ground Control Street coil-over kit is made by us or someone we trust. None of these parts are made in Taiwan. Everything is made in the USA.
Tony, you mean GC=ground control?

But yeah, I'm leaning towards the steeda. After my discussions with jay at hyper, the GC kit would require a lot more installation work, plus modding the Koni strut to fit/work. I'd then have to buy new CC plates etc... So I'm thinking with the steeda, it's a bit more proven and "common" and straight forward for installation and function. Springs, strut mounts, and that's about it...

Just placed the order for:

Koni Yellow Struts (2011+)
Steeda Perches
Steeda Springs (200lb/in and 225lb/in)

I'm reusing my oem strut mounts. If they fail in the near future, so be it, I'll purchase the new HD ones at that time.

I'm stoked!

Now I'm contemplating doing the install myself, or taking it to a shop... hmmm what say you? Only thing (other than cost of course) that I'm worried about for taking it to the shop is, they could scratch my wheels, paint, etc.... ugh..... I hate it when other people work on my car. I have to trust other people that don't care about my car (no one will) as much as I do. Oh well.

^^ Have not heard of this? Are there now 11-14 equivalents to the 05-09 GT500 mounts?

Haha! I bought the stuff, but "contemplated" the install. I'm debating just having the shop do the whole install front and rear including alignment for 400 bucks. What you think?

Sorry I wasn't clear. The "HD" mounts I speak of are the 11-14 specific Steeda HD mounts. I was going to get them but decided against it since my oem ones are still good, and I'll replace when ready. The GT500 ones are still 05-09 mounts.

Aaaah okay, the way you phrased it made it sound like there was an OEM upgraded option for our cars. My bad. I've seen a lot of people mentioning the Steeda mounts. They look really nice.

Seems to me you would have saved time by typing "Steeda."

What shop? I paid $250 in labor just for front strut replacement and alignment, so $400 is pretty fair. My shop charges $100/hr for labor though.

Check out: www.maierracing.com

They're the only guys who touch my suspension, and I'm lucky they're local!

Something different... I think the progressive set up is a little too soft for me. I want a linear setup. I might try to track her every now and then in the future, hence the Konis. I got a ride in a buddy's steeda set up and loved it.

Yeah, I've got a ride in a car lowered on the Steeda's and it was a nice ride.

I have Eibach struts, so trying to decide on springs myself. The best option would probably be the K Springs or eibach's since they are the same. Shoot me a PM when you decide on how much you're going to sell them for.

Will do... I think I may already have a person on this forum slated to purchase it, but will let you know. Should be next week, when I get my new stuff installed.

Also, look at what Steeda sent me as well???? Many thanks to TJ, Rod, and Matt from Steeda.

So, soon, my garage will have my Autogeek banner, my steeda banner, and a framed 50th Anniversary poster.
