GT takes us to Highlands NC for 46th Anniversary
We like to enjoy our wedding anniversaries when possible so we went to Highlands NC, an upper class wealthy town here in the mountains. Twisties and curves rule this road from Franklin to Highlands so we took the Mustang. Many waterfalls along the way but the road under Bridal Veil Falls was still not open. We like to browse the shops too but buying anything is another story with prices that astound. Our GT was not intimidated by all the Porsches, BMW's and Land Rovers seen this day. Dinner sure was a treat and the $190 bill was too!! One appetizer to split, two dinners, 1 glass of wine for me, and 1 dessert to split. Ouch!!
A taste of the rich life can be enjoyable to visit once per year but we are OK living in the world of Fords, Dodges and eating at Chick Fil A.

Reason: spelling
Love the GHIG convertible. A good friend has one just like it. Very nice pics and the dessert looks delish. Not sure i'd share it
At first glance i thought you might be referring to Bridal Falls up here in BC lol!
Congrats on the anniversary.
My wife and I had a short vacation recently to Brevard, Deerwoode Reserve, had a nice cabin for 3 days, got to see some awesome waterfalls as well.
Thought about checking out Highlands while we were out there (normally we're around Raleigh), but didn't have the time.
Maybe next year.

Thanks for the interest in the travel threads. I'll be adding another in the General Vehicle Discussion area, like the Vanishing Point trip and the Million Dollar Hwy segment. As you know we usually take a Mustang on our vacations but this recent trip was Challenger related. Next year should be the GT.
