GT 500 stripes on a CS?

GT 500 stripes on a CS?
I have been contemplating putting the Lemans style GT500 stripes across the hood on my 2013 GT/CS. The CS stripes are silver. The hood ones would probably have to come off and I'm not sure about the door ones. I would put White stripes across the hood and trunk etc.
Is this a dumb thing to contemplate being it's a CS? Same question since it's a convertible? I can't seem to find a picture anywhere where someone has done this. I think Danielle has it on her grabber blue.
If I did it....should I get rid of the silver gt/cs stripes on the sides.
Open to suggestions here. Here's a pic.

Of course not, do what makes you happy man! Although I think I'd do black or a dark charcoal gray instead of white. The Race Red CS just begs for black accents, but that's my opinion. I'd definitely remove the hood stripes, but the side stripes could stay with the Le Mans stripes...

there's alot of acreage on that hood that benefits from strips, especially on red. I'd say do it and either match the color to your cs stripes and keep those, or remove them.
here's a link to mine with the lemans stripes. they were not stock.

Leave the sides, they're perfect. Remove the hood stripes and get them on the rest of the body. It would look soooo fresh. That's exactly what I'd do if I had your car, honestly.

What about white hood/trunk stripes and silver c/s side stripes? I'm not sure if they have white CS side stripes.
Hate to alter the fact that it's a California special, but those stripes are catchy. Now if I only had the 600hp motor under them

If you want white on the side, you could have them custom made and installed by a vinyl shop to match the side stripe "GT/CS" graphic. You'll pay a little more for the added detail, but it will be very unique. Where are you located? There's a place here in NJ that is 3M certified. We had custom stripes/graphics put on my wife's turbo beetle and it came out great.

Being a CS owner, I'd leave it as is. My opinion.
Removing the stripes, or scoops or pedestal spoiler... takes away some of the crucial nostalgia of the car.
I saw a white CS on eBay with a Roush wing. Although beautiful, it reminded me of a formally dressed woman wearing sneakers... if that makes sense.
The "complete" details are what make her/it sexy.

If it were my car, I'd leave the GT/CS stripes un-touched.. That's how they came from the factory and what makes your car unique to begin with.. So why ruin what already makes your car special by attempting to clone into something that it's really not in the first place.. If you want to make cosmetic changes, why not just upgrade to different designed wheels or a combo of black wheels with machined face/lip and just leave it at that

It all comes down to personal preference. I have always liked the GT 500 Leman's style stripes depending on the color of the car. I always thought the race red, white, and yellow cars look better with them. If it were mine I would leave the side stripes and match the color with the GT 500 stripes.
