grrr stupid nail!

I've had the rims not even a couple weeks... and find a nail in my back rear tire.. thankfully it didn't cause a flat but still...

Looks like it might of been on purpose, but i doubt it.

yay 200$ for a new tire!

That really sucks, hope someone wouldn't do something like that on purpose.

Definitely does suck rmurer. It happened to our Mustang about a week after we bought it.
If the puncture is not near the sidewall of the tire, an inside patch and or plug will work fine. 20.00 vs 200.00
Just a thought.

Yep, got one right on the casing corner of a nearly new (less than 700 miles) Brembo Package Pirelli. New tire $350. Really makes you mad and you wish you could find the slob who dropped the nail in the first place. Too many people out there just throw construction materials and garbage in the back of pickups or flat beds without caring about what may fall out on the road.

Tire/Wheels insurance is the only extra thing I bought when I got C/S well worth it.

no plugs on new / good tires, plugs on older more than half worn out tires. Patch on newer good tires. Post a picture if you can,

patch + plug(rubber) on any tire to completely seal the repair, also it should only be done in the main tread area of the tire.

The link is a PDF. straight from the RMA's (rubber manufacturers association) website

http://www.rma.org/getfile.cfm?ID=1064&type=publication

Also, was it the right rear tire?

What did they charge you for the replacement certificates and what do they cover?
