Going to Detroit and bringing back VINs!!
Not exactly but going out to Detroit tomorrow and Friday to the annual dealer introduction meeting. Just got new DORA's today on 7 of my 15 sold orders that all switched to priority 1. That means when I get back into the office on Saturday 7 more lucky folks will have their VIN!!
Pretty sure while I am there I will get to drive the new Mustang, Fiesta and a couple other new models.
Anyone need anything while I am out there?

I asked. He said no. I said "save me one when they come in" and I got a half-commitment from him and nothing since. Just "blast" emails about special offers.
My dealer (salesman mostly I think) sucks. But he's the "Internet guy" and this place is literally down to a skeleton crew on the front side. The cashier is also the receptionist. There's only ONE regular sales guy that I know of. And a lot of the other "old timers" aren't even on the sales floor.

Are you talking about the big black brochure? I don't think those are SUPPOSED to have a coupon. The one that is coming with the coupon is a little tri-fold (or postcard) advertising the Mustang. Every one of mine is for the 2010 but the deal is good on 2011's. Those tri-folds appear to be generated when you request a brochure. I sincerely hope I get a "real" brochure but if I don't, the $750 works.

Our dealership's owner just got back from the dealer meeting. Says he got to drive the V6 & GT '11 Mustangs and the Camaro V6 & SS to compare. Also got to drive the Fiesta and Honda Fit. Got hot laps in a Mustang drift car (Vaughn Gittin perhaps???) and got to meet Richard Petty (the King of NASCAR). Sounds like it was a great time - wish I could have gone!

I actually think Rochester is a decent city. If we could just do something about all the jack asses downtown that are trying to destroy the city with crime, there's no reason it couldn't rebound into one heck of a city.

I think someone had started a thread about being obsessed, well that has pretty much been me ever since I placed that order. I think I was 4th in line, sitting around wondering why others were getting their vin's and in some cases cars. Paul made my day today when he called and said I had a new DORA with a priority of 01. Hopefully by Saturday evening, I will have a vin# like many of you guys, and at least I might be able to start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I ordered my current 2000 GT, but that experience has paled in comparison to this car mostly because of all of the great reviews and positive driving feedback that I have taken in over the past few months. Paul, have a great time, and please bring back our vin#'s!
