Finally got a decent launch in my Stock M6 5.0
I decided to go to the track last minute this morning hoping to get a better time than last time I ran. My best run prior was a 13.3 @ 110. This was a few months back, the weather was a lot colder last time and I couldn't get any traction (Best sixty was 2.2). My car would spin even launching off idle. The car is a stock Brembo 5.0 with the 3.73's on the factory pirellis.
First run today I cut a 2.1 sixty but missed third gear and ran a 13.6 @ 107. Next run I launched around 2500 rpms and ran a 13.104@109.94 w/ a 2.021.
The next one was going to be my last run so I decided to really heat up the tires and slip the clutch around 3500 rpms. The result was 12.916 @ 111.99. My sixty was 1.938. I'm pretty happy with the times, I wanted to run a 12 before starting to mod the 5.0.

Definitely have to slip the clutch on the launch. I slipped at a launch point of 3500 and got me a 12.78 @ 113.0. The tires never broke, so I know they have more in them. Slipping is difficult and takes practice, though. So... keep practicing!
