Dyno results for my 1 week old 2014 bone stock GT w/3.73's

Today I attended a charity event (Hospice for Horsepower at Pro-Dyno in Fort Mill, SC) and had the opportunity to do 3 dyno pulls for $60. Since I just bought my Mustang on Sunday and have a few things I want to do to it really soon, I thought this would be a great chance to see what I'm starting with before I touch anything.

My car: 2014 Mustang GT with Track Package, 6-speed manual transmission, 3.73 gears, 760 miles on the odometer at the time of putting it on the Dyno, zero modifications, running 93 octane fuel (with "up to 10% ethanol :bang head: )

Dyno conditions: DynoJet Dyno, 74 degrees, approximately 35% humidity, car not fully cooled down from drive to the event

Dyno results: peak numbers of 375.52 HP and 361.45 TQ

375.52 HP equals a 10.59% drivetrain loss from 420 HP factory rating

Despite doing a little bit of Goggling yesterday, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect my car to put down. I am VERY pleased with today's results and once I get my Roush exhaust and Ford Racing ProCal tune installed, I will go back to the same place to do another dyno session to see how much of a difference they make. I'm hoping I'll be at least over 400 RWHP after those two mods...

I see your car remains stoich even at wide open throttle. Ford sure likes to tempt fate with the coyote engines.

good to know the Coyote is still underrated.

Very nice

Very cool I can't wait to see what the tune nets you on the dyno, see if you get that big bump in tq. At low rpm they claim.
I'm doing a similar test right now.
I have a 2014 mustang gt with track pack (3.73 gears, 6sp. man.)
I ran my car at the 1/4 mi. 2 weeks ago stock, then last week I went and got my procal tune put on, I will be running the car again this wend. night to see what differences it might have made.

He's at 13.33:1, a little light but not too much for stock.

I assumed the dash line was stoich

Thanks for sharing your results! Keep us posted!

I'd expect that motor to loosen up a bit and likely put down a bit more power down the road, even if you left it stock.

I ordered my Roush exhaust yesterday and will hopefully order my ProCal soon, so once i get all of that done I'd like to go back for another dyno session to compare results.

Nice! I have a 14 TP as well. Recently I put in the K&N box filter and GT500 a/b on it, so I'd expect to see very similar numbers, or perhaps a tad more. Keep up posted on how it does after the ProCal

Any updates on the procal tune?

Sweet!! I have the exact same specs on my coyote and I'm local to Charlotte, NC. So you just saved me from running a baseline dyno...I know it wouldn't be exactly the same for every car, but at least it give me an idea of where I'm starting from. Thanks for the write up brotha!! :metal::metal:

Not yet. With the news of the Track Key having just come out, I'm planning on going that route since it combines the ProCal tune in with it. Just need to come up with the money. Hopefully in a few weeks.

Glad my post was helpful to you.

Crazy question: since you have a DIB with the standard spoiler, would you be interested in a decklid swap for a DIB decklid with the pedestal spoiler? Just a shot in the dark. I've been looking for a local swap.

I actually want the GT500 Style Rear Spoiler that AM sells...it's $329.99 so I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Let me think about it a little...do you have a good pic you can post of your spoiler? Haven't really seen it in person...

John H 5/30/14 09:52 AM

Here are the only two pics I have at the moment showing the spoiler, but I could take others if you'd like specific angles or anything. http://imageshack.us/a/img837/6384/hk7v.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img835/9121/ceae.jpg

Edit: just took two more:
