Dealer just overfilled oil.
Took the car in for some 5W30 synthetic. Driving home I see they put 7 quarts in instead of 6. I had a coupon so they just charged me a flat rate. Should I be concerned? Level is reading around 1/4 above hash marks.

However, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. It's pretty common to run an extra quart when you're auto-crossing or road racing. The heads hold a ton of oil in them and it helps keep the oil pickup submerged during hard cornering.
Even for normal driving it's probably not going to do anything more than possibly lower your mileage a bit.

For some reason my last two oil changes at the dealership ended over filled according to the dipstick reading. IMO the reading should be right on. So I rolled back in and they made it right as they should have in the first place.

My dealership has a "Fastlane" which is for oil changes only. So I see what's happening. Terrible thing not to trust the dealership or any mechanic for that matter. If you are not sure on what they did or did not do get a second opinion and follow though if there is a legitimate concern. Gotta keep these guys honest.

Mustang is pain to change. Need ramps, gotta remove the lower shields on 2010+ cars. Takes 6 qts. I figured let somebody else deal with it.

I'm at dealer now. Mechanic says he changed filter. I guess he had really dirty hands! The are gonna change filter again and lower oil level. Never going to this dealer again.

What you should've done before they replaced another filter is make your own marking on it, that way you know if they changed the filter... =]
Unless they're wise/stupid enough to clean it off....
