Cup holders for the rear

Weird question - has any one pursued any kind of cup holders for the back seat? It's not often, but my family does occasionally take out the mustang and it would be convenient for my son to have a place to keep a drink.

The back seat is only good for Very Very small children.

I'd like one so that I could put MY drinks somewhere that won't interfere with shifting..

Right now... I stick the drinks into my basketball shoes in the trunk lol so they won't tip over and I won't have to put them in the "cup holders" that Ford designed

I use the rearmost of the two and it doesn't get too much in the way. Big difference from the one in front.

i dont get people complaining about the cup holders. this isnt a mini van or a fusion. Its a mustang, its not suppose to have all kinds of nice gay features. heats seats, nice happy cup holders, back up cams, etc

I don't eat IN my car unless absolutely necessary, but I DO pick up food to take home occasionally. It would be awfully nice to have a solid cup holder anywhere else in this car!

Coffee on the way to work is a must. Cup holders are definitely not a gay option and are extremely important in my opinion. having to shift with a coffee (or 2) in the cup holders really sucks.

Why would you need cup holders back there, when no one can sit back there?

Anyone small enough to sit in the back of these cars is probably still drinking from a sippy cup and wouldn't need a cup holder.

If you don't have a passenger very often, one of the "Wedgie" cup holders might work, too. I may just try one myself, then I could use it in my other car, too. (A 2002 Miata with the same cupholder issue. )

My son is 14 years old, and is about 5'9". However, I'm 5'8" and I like to sit close to the wheel to reduce steering input and clutch travel. So when he sits behind me, he has plenty of room.

It's not as comfortable as either my g35 or my wife's, but its suitable for driving around town. Besides, he now asks that we take the Mustang.
