Both gave poor reviews of the rear end. I was told that the interior is just as good or better than the current model. But, I have to see it with my own eyes.

I Have No Life
I've been told that I will like it, because it has a more aggressive look than the current Mustang. But, one of my friends said that he prefers the current body style better.

Some people are going to love it, and some are going to hate it...
and some in the middle.
I like the fact that its more aggressive
Can't wait to see it.

What about the 2009 ?? it's been posted time and time again, the 2010 will get the redesign, as the 09 will remain unchanged, just as the current S-197 !

That's completely understandable, as I often become so impatient wanting to know what the 2010 redesign, will look like ! And if Ford doesn't plan on showing us a concept, at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, in Jan. 08 ? chances are, I'll be keeping my current 05 GT indefinitely..

Well, even if the 2010 is stunning I'll still be keeping my '05. To buy my car used a lot of our savings that we've stashed away over the years (thank you Mrs Twin Turbo). I don't 'spose I'll be able to afford another car like this until I retire!
Still, if there's a car to keep for life, surely it's a Mustang

I'll more than likely keep my current 05 as well, being that it won't be paid off until June 2010 anyhow..And the last thing I really need ! is dealing with another 5-6 years of car payments, all over again..

FYI - The August 27th issue of Crain Automotive News reports that the reskin will appear on the 2010MY. There will be interior upgrades and improvements in ride and handling. Unfortunately, nothing was said about engines or horsepower.
They also wrote that the redesigned Mustang will be out in 2012MY or 2013MY. There is a chance that the car will be on the global rwd platform being developed in Australia.
All this info is nothing new. But, I fear that my source could be wrong about the 2009/2010 Mustang being at the 2008 Detroit Auto show. And that my expectations of Ford moving the reskin up to the 2009MY isn't going to happen.

The show in '04 when the first pre-production S197 was there, you COULD NOT GET NEAR THE CAR. There were people 15 deep around the entire thing and basically a mob scene everywhere else in the vicinity. Complete kaos. I of course waited it out and managed to get up close, but it took a good 15-20 minutes to get that close.
I still predict that Chevy will struggle to sell 60,000 Camaros in it's first year. There just aren't as many Camaro lovers as there are Mustang lovers. We proved that back in '01-'02. The same will hold try again.
