3M adhesive prep?
Putting on some Roush rocker/splitter trim tomorrow. Directions say use 3M 'adhesive prep' to clean the surface prior to sticking. In the past, I would ignore this and just use acetone, which I have handy... but the older I get, the more inclined I am to actually follow directions. But I have to ask... is the 3M really necessary??

I installed the Roush side splitters a couple months ago... On a clean car, just rub the bottom side of the rocker panels down with rubbing alcohol or acetone and let it dry. No need for the 3M adhesive prep.

I used the prep when I put the splitters on. I had to go twice to a automotive paint supply to get some. First time I left the stuff in the car and the package blew up from the heat. Lucky it was in a bag so no damage happened but the fumes were bad. I did not know storage on the package says 60f to 80f degrees. Guess the AZ temp was quite a bit over. Lol

Looks good.
Definetly one of the many extras that Ford forgot...as usual.
Check out this vid of the new 13 RTR Edition.
It has a nice 3 piece addon for the rear bumper that would compliment these. Come to think of it, it has the Roush side splitters installed also.
Does anyone know if these rear splitters are already out on the market?

The RTR Rear Valance isn't yet available as a separate piece but it will be available through us shortly along with most of the other components you see on the RTR. It's definitely a nice addition to the Side Rocker Extensions!

I think its the best one I've heard so far.
As close as I've heard to the 5.0s of the 80s.
I was able to get my 1999 Stang sound like that with Flowmasters.
But ever since teh 2005s came out, all the mufflers on the market just sound too ratty almost tinny.
The RTR Magnaflow has that nice low mellow rumble.
