I tried two ways. One i disconected the ground from the high beam and it worked fine exept the high will not work when the turn signal is on... The other way i disconnected the ground from the drl. Which the high beam works but the flashback did not work

Exclamation

Found my issue. the headlight assembly uses a shared ground. so when I connected both the high beam and DRL and connected my Morimoto switchback drivers the drl would not turn off. I disconnected the High ground and the switchback works so does highbeam. The issue is when the turn signal is on the highbeam does not work. I am guessing the switchbacks cut the ground when in use that is causing the issue. How do I get the highbeam to work without affecting the switchback. is there a way to get the switchback to cut power not ground.

2013 HID headlights using custom harness to connect to 2011-2012 nonHID

I want to thank LEXiiON, ebalderas and 5.0verkill.
Below are my findings in my quest to build a harness. So I hope this helps others make there own harnesses. all parts were purchased on eBay. except for wrap solder shrink wrap harbor freight.
Pin 1 Low beam
Pin 3 DRL Power Full
Pin 5 DRL Power Dim
Pin 8 Ballast Ground
Pin 10 Power Ballast
Pin 12 Power High beam
Pin 14 Ground
Using Motocraft WPT 1357
I wired pins 1 and 10 together for power and pin 8 for ground to connect to the morimoto harness ballast plug using a male 9006 pigtail
I wired pins 3 power DRl 9006 pigtail to connect to Diodedynamics DS1 switchback driver
Did not use pin 5 drl power dim
Connected pin 12 power high beam and pin 14 ground to male 9006 pigtail. To connect to morimoto harness high beam plug.

For the turn signal I used a 7444 pigtail and connected to a 9006 male pigtail to connect to Diodedynamics DS1 switchback driver(Output used ground and yellow for turn signal and the white alone since headlight uses common ground for DRL). I first connected 7444 to 3157 to figure which two wires made turn signal flash since you do not use the other wire(used yellow and ground input).
I connected the 3157 directly to the switchback since this will connect to old turn signal bulb. Remember if it does not work rotate plug.
I ran a power wire from fuse 39 using a fuseblade to power switchbacks which in turn powered DRL

I know this thread has been dead for awhile, but it still helped me out a bit.
Anyway I found a guy that actually makes this wiring harness. It's a plug-n-play 2010 Halogen to 2013 HID with DRL's, and takes about 90-120 minutes to install.
You can find him at:

Greetings, I've found your picture of the 16 holes socket white of the headlights and I thought it was of a f-150 lol because I brought a salvage car (I didn't know) so their came with different headlights, ANYWAY, I brought the Morimotohid FORD MUSTANG (10-14): XB LED HEADLIGHTS (my Mustang is from 2014) and when I was going to install I had the surprise that I couldn't connect the connectors, I had a big white socket with 16 holes in the Mustang and several small in the Morimoto headlights, and it was Plug and Play ( I don't know where lool) anyone knows where to find the adapters or anything? Please, I can't find anywhere and I'm not a electrician and also I'm a Portuguese living in France and garages of American cars are a complete RIP OFF!! So that everyone was the idea s big glass of passager side costs in USA around 100$ and here in France is around 500$! I'm NOT KIDDING! And I also can't stand the French people (A5 big paper complaints so that you have an idea)

Cheers
I'll appreciate any help in this matter
