2013 mustang gt anti theft
 

One day I was driving my 2013 mustang gt and all of a sudden the cars gauges stopped working and the dash said check changing system, service advance track. Disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and put it back on and it worked. I then took the car to O’Riley’s to check the charging system, they checked the battery, alternator, and starter they told me it was all fine. I then went to research what it could be some said it was the starter relay. Check that and it was good. I called a couple of my close ford dealerships most told me that it could be the car is losing signal from the key. Also I can get the car out of anti theft mode with locking the car and putting the key in the ignition and unlock it. But the car keeps going into anti theft mode at least once a day. Can anyone help?

first thing to try -- change the battery in the key

I am not sure of the exact design of your key; but if you look at it, you should be able to figure out how to pry it open; then you can see what kind of battery it has inside . . . buy the battery first and be prepared to change it quickly; I believe it will hold it's programming while you change the battery, but if the battery is out for a long time, it could lose it and need to be reprogrammed by a dealer

If it’s not the battery what else could it be? Because all the buttons work with the car.

^ ^ ^ I don't know, probably some invisible electrical gremlin that is going to be very expensive to find and fix . . . better hope it is the battery in the key!
