Thanks for sharing. Woulda been nice if we could hear the fricken cars and not him talking the whole time!!
Couple of notes, I think that vid just made me fall in love with Race Red !! And second, we now have another wheel that is confirmed to fit over the Brembos: the 18" SVE 2003 10th Anniversary Replica wheels! You can get them at Latemodel Restoration Supply!....(for all you Brembo Pkg wheel haters out there )

But at least those who don't like the Brembo wheels have another option confirmed!

I like them , then again I have them in black on my black 02 GT...So I guess I am biased. I loved watching the Stang fly around the course, but couldn't help notice how high it seems to ride....

Interesting... the two cars i am currently shopping.
One thing though...
Why usa 370z vert? The 370z vert @ ~3460lbs is still light compared to the mustang but it is roughly 200lbs heavier than a vanilla Z. I wonder how much faster the lighter and more rigid hard top 370z woulda been.

I suppose i could stop being lazy and head over to the 370z boards and see what customer cars weigh.

By the way, Edmunds.com has it as 3232; I still don't believe it. Here's what I found:
Base, 3,232 lbs. Touring, 3,278 lbs. Nismo, 3,300 lbs. Roadster, 3426

Some would be surprized at the rigidity of the 370Z vert. It's no hard top but Nissan paralleled the development of the two cars as to be a mininally compromising in the vert as well. Probably one of, if not, the most rigid vert out these days. Hear good things about the 2011 Mustang vert as well though!

Wheel Weights:
18x9 = 27lbs
18x9 w/ 255/45/18 tire = 55lbs
18x10 = 25lbs
18x10 w/ 275/40/18 = 57lbs
Anyone have weights on the brembo wheels?

I'd be interesting to know how close the Z would be able to get to the 5.0's time.

The actual weight wasn't really the issue i was trying to discuss. The hardtop Z is a good bit ligther than the vert regardless of the actual weight of these things. That, plus more rigidity, would translate to a faster lap time.

Sounds interesting... would love to read more about it...
