2006 trade in for 2011
Hey guys !! Pretty jacked about the 2011 5.0 and have been pondering doing the trade in for it. Currently I have an 06' GT Tungsten with 18' wheels, red leather interior and shaker 1000. Has 21,000 miles on it and basically looks brand new. (I take very good care of my cars).
If i were to order one, what have some people been seeing theirs being quoted as ??
Kelly Blue Book gives mine about 16k.
Thanks all !

I got 17k for a 16k mile loaded 2007 GT in August last year on a GT500. My GT coupe had premier trim, comfort group, all of it.
KBB is grossly inflated. I'd estimate you'll get $13k for your car on trade.

For sale, private party !
Yeah, sounds like they were using the DBB for trade in value . . . "Dealer Black Book". True story, That's was a quote from when I went to a dealer a couple years ago inquiring about trading in my F-150.

Dealers rareeeeeeeeeely ever give out an excellent rate (from KBB)...
Plus with today's standards, they are selling more and more cars in the private party value. So look to the "good" value (in terms of trade in) as a more real interpretation.
But by all means ask for the top, but plan for something a little less I'd say.

I do not drive the car in the winter or rain. I live in the northeast so i do not start driving my car to April/May. It will be in no different shape when i trade it in as it is now. I have a written sales worksheet with the trade in # on it.

There's no way a dealer put their name to that amount without some kind of loop hole. There's a reason Carmax quotes are good for 7 days or X number of miles.

My 2006, which is up for viewing in the for sale section ( https://themustangsource.com/showthread.php?t=479715 ) here was offered 14k and negotiated to 15k for a dealer trade in (The car I was "looking at" was through a VIP plan from my company - think x-plan from Ford) ... They will give same price with or without my hop-ups so I'll be stripping them off and selling separately. This quote was 3 weeks ago, so I'm "hoping" to be in the same ballpark when the Shelby arrives, though I wouldn't be surprised to see it drop a bit.

The one good thing with Mustangs is, when Spring hits, the prices generally tend to rise when they were flat in the winter.
