'11 new wheels/315's

Finally got my Forgestar F14's and Conti ExtremeContacts put on yesterday.

275/40R20 Front on 20X9 +40

315/35R20 Rear on 20X11 +53

Very tight fit, but no rubbing. Rear tires do touch the Bumpstop pads when the rear-end is at full drop, but no problems when loaded.

I love how aggressive these rear offsets are getting, it's like an eyegasm

IMO it looks nice but it is a bit too much. It is very nice to know where the limit is. 28 inch tall narrow tires up front would give it a good drag strip look.

Your tires are 2.4" wider and 1.6" taller than stock so you will have to adjust your speedo some.

Or if he's lucky his speedometer was off enough before the new tires that with them it's dead on accurate :heh:

That's how my truck was, when I went from 235/75R15s to 31x10.50s (same as 265/75R16)

The Brenspeed tune I ordered is adjusting the speedometer.

can you post a picture of the profile of the car so we can see what the wheels look like and the car as a whole

Ryno, having a dilema here as to whether i'll go with 295's or 285's for the rear with my SVT PP wheels. Can you provide some more photos from the side if you can. My question is how will 275/40's handle on 9 " wheels !
My preference would be to go with 295/30/19's rear with 10" wheel, and 255/35/19's for the front with 9" wheel.
Nice ride by the way.:nice:

Yes, I'm going to shortly.

Here's another forum where someone put on 285/35/19 on the Brembo rims.

http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...o-19-rims.html

Stock 255/40 are about 27 inches tall and these are about 26.8. Almost the same. The 295/35 would be 27.1 inches but from looking at tirerack there are a lot less choices to pick from; one.

You're right Ted, only BF Goodrich makes that size tire and i've not read great reviews on those KDW tires. That sucks. That would be the perfect combo to me.

rsb5772 Nov 12, 2010 05:11 PM

I wanted the tire to bulge past the wheel a bit. The rears are 11" wide.

montreal ponies Nov 12, 2010 06:56 PM

I've just seen a few pics with guys running 285/40/19 back and 255/45/19's front. That seems to give the tire a bit more sidewall and an overall better look IMO.

Nice ***!

How would those sizes look on 9" and 11" wide wheels?

Your wheels and tires look terrific. I might have gone with those wheels if I had seen them before buying my Spyders. I went with 35 series front and rear I like the fit and looks, they handle and still ride well even with it being lowered some. Do you have side view shot?

wow, lots of wheel and tire

don't know if you plan to lower the car but if you can end up with the stance that 908ssp's car has it will look outrageous

thx for the pics

908ssp Nov 13, 2010 09:44 AM

Looks terrific. Did you weigh your assembled wheels and tires?

Mine are.

Stock wheels and tires 255/45-18, tire and wheel 56lbs
Steeda front 9.5" wide 275/35-20, tire and wheel 61lbs, +5lbs more than stock
Steeda rear 11" wide 315/35-20, tire and wheel 69.5lbs, +13.5lbs more than stock
