'11 GT w/Brembos needs winter tires and wheels.

Well the time has come to either not drive my '11 GT until April when the weather gets warm or buy new tires for the season.

I'll keep the stock combo for warmer weather but need to get new 19" rims and a tire for winter driving. The car won't see snow but will see wet roads and temps below 40. What would folk here recommend tire wise?

For wheels I love the look of the 2010 track pack 19" model. Anyone know if that will mount okay?

If you will not drive in snow or ice and won't see temps below freezing for extended periods of time then I wouldn't even bother with a different set of tires and wheels.

What part of the country are you in?

I live in Seattle and we get quite a few days below 40 degrees. Then again we get quite a few days over 40 degrees. I guess as long as I can get the car out once a week I am okay.

I'd like to drive it more though . . .

Well, you don't have to use 19's to clear the brembos, lots of 18's that will clear and save you some $$$ on the winter wheels/tires.

18" Wheels for a Brembo GT

A great place to start your search for 18" wheels for your Brembo car is the FRPP catalog under the GT500 wheels. Any 2005+ GT500 wheel will clear your Brembo calipers. HERE is a nice set of 18" wheels for a nice price. EBay is another place to look for take-offs. I may never use the 19s coming on my '11 GT.

...ned.

You can get the same wheels from Shaun, same price and also free shipping (see this thread).

Mine are on order with Blizzak LM-60's and I hope to receive soon!
