2007 Mustang GT Vista Blue, 56,000 miles. Required a new starter motor and battery. Has a few repairable door dings. Bought it primarily has my next project car.

So now I have both a 05 4.0L and a 07 4.6L.

I'm a fan of 69s also- heres a pic of mine from 1982... I was trying to buy a boss429 3 months earlier, at 18 yrs old, no way could I get the loan for 8500 bucks it woulda took to drive BOSS429 KK1311 home...wasnt in the cards- i prolly woulda wrecked it anyway...instead a few months after that I came across this base fastback- the girl I bought it from had received it as a graduation present in 1969. i only has it a day put these wheels on, a week later, slats/wing/mach1 interior, even my diehard chevy buddies loved this car. just a 302-2v/drum brake/base , but Acapulco was my favorite shade of blue...still love to look at this car
https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3781/...52b90688_z.jpg

in '84 some idiot kids were throwing beer bottles, blew out the windshield/tore up the a pillar/trim/paint... got so pissed, put it in the garage, pulled it apart(was getting some rust here and there) pulled the 302 and sold it to commit myself to the 429 swap...30 years later, still hasnt happened yet. did finally start on it last july, built a big rotisserie, stripped the suspension, everything underneath- 30 yr old gas in the tank was solid, and man did it stink- but then son#2 of 4 bought a ranger to fix up...that was sept 13, havent touched it since. I havent been feeling right this fall/winter, just too tired/lazy or something, cant get my butt out there... hoping Christmas/NewYears weekends will be able to get out and accomplish something... lost a 90 yr old friend this summer(really last year if I wasnt helping kid on his truck, we were at my buddies helping him try to get things in order, or just visiting daily at hospital/nursing homes he was cycling thru for months...anyways went to his estate sale, picked up his old cub cadet I want to fix up, kind to remember him by...his brother was a neighbor/best friend of mine for 20 yrs, he left me his 65 LTD, we redid it- thinking of gettng a old looking trailer for it to haul the 1968 cub of his brothers on, maybe take it to some fairs or some old equipment shows...we'll see. theres a 'diary' i kept as we redid the old LTD frame back in 03/04 if anyones interested in reading about rust here: http://www.fordmuscleforums.com/gala...ong-story.html

anyways, heres a pic of my once beloved 69... at one time this car was most important 'thing' in the world, now it has sat three decades collecting dust before being further stripped...if 2015 isnt its year, i might as well realize it will be my kids that put it back together if ever... I'm only 51, but too many years of crawling on/over/under machines, carrying stuff I shoulda known better, etc has made most of the 'fun' of working on cars more awkward every year...kick myself for all the times we hand carried 50 taper mill spindles into machines, or carried size 20-30 Fanuc servos with brakes down from the third floor, or pushed my 1000 pound minimum tool box the 1/4 mile length of the shop...didnt seem that bad at the time, nor living on vending machine food/working 90 hours a week...that stuff can get 'normal' all too easy, but it takes a toll on the joints...knees/back/carpal tunnel crapfingers that dont want to bend some days= never thought i'd actually 'get old' someday, so never took care... I cant complain, it is what it is and Ive been real fortunate- but I have noticed its getting harder to hurry anymore.

and now its just a shell on a spit...

hopefully its day is coming :)

I recently tore some ligaments on the inside of my left knee, the result of being on my knees too long installing a pair of Spyder projector headlights in my 2005. We all think we are never going to get old. I have a young mind but an older body at 61. Nice collection of Mustangs parked outside of your garage. Love that Vista Blue colour. It wold be nice to see you get the '69 off the spit and running.

Just needs some little work on tail lights ..... to straighten them up with the new lines.
