Followed a lady driving a new Sonic Blue V6 today. I think she noticed me following and gauking, so I broke it off, but I followed as long as I could trying to get an idea about that color. It seemed that no matter how the sun hit it, it looked more purple than blue. I've just begun with modern Mustangs, so I don't know if this is how it always has been or what, but it almost looked like the color should be called "Sonic Purple" instead.
Other than that, the car looked great. What clean/powerful lines this thing has! Never could get around front, but really wanted to see what it looks like in real life without the fogs. I don't mean to imply that I might like it better without them, but I still wanted to see if it still looked good without them as well.

Maybe it was just the late afternoon sun that made it look that way. I'm not planning on getting that color anyway. If I get an 05, it'll most likely be black, if I wait till 06, it'll be either Tungsten or Black.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the pony and tribar medallion on the rear looks much better in person than the GT one. That'll have to be switched if I get one. I assume that won't be a big deal?

I agree it has a purplish hue to it. I saw a V6 one at the dealership last week. Initially, I wanted Sonic blue, but after seeing it in person, I'm glad I chose Redfire.
It's not a bad color at all, just never been a big fan of purple.

I think True Blue is probably the best blue I have seen on a recent model mustang. I really hope ford brings it back and offers it on the 2008 models. By then, my V6 will be paid off and I will be almost out of college.

Man talk about beating a dead horse.
It's blue with a pearl coat, I had black honda civic with a pearl coat that would, in the right lighting conditions look deep blue, but never did I see a gazillion posts at temple of vtec about it being a really dark blue.
I can't stand yams, but I don't bother making posts about how absolutely putrifying they taste, or how the marshmellows are a very vain attempt at making something disgusting look good.
Call it purple and buy black.

It seems as if the color is most blue during the day, at dusk when the light doesn't hit it straight on the there are purple tinges.
I love the color, I think it helps bring out the lines of the car

Its a very classy, sporty, sexy, subtle, attention-grabber hue of blue. I love it. I get varying comments from people, where one says its "so sporty," the other person says "wow...such a classy color." I love this color. It suits any mood you have, and changes all the time under different light. Its almost like a chameleon color.
