Stop stealing my ideas! Actually, if I got a GT/CS, I'd be tempted to remove the factory stripe and put a rocker stripe on there that said "GT/CS" in the same place that you typically see "GT 300" or "GT 350" or GT 500".

Just to complete the look:
A "Poor man's" Shelby GT (~$10K less than Shelby GT) with traditional blue painted strips.
Now if they would just come out with a Silver GT/CS in 08 (see my avatar for my inspiration)

[quote=StangNut;817604]Didn't looked right, as in there was something wrong with them or he just didn't like them? Also, did he charge you extra for the LeMans racing stripes?
They said is was too much for the car, a cleaner look without, I'm not so sure now.
I bet they firgured a way to charge me for the removel of the side stripes, also.

NEVER trust a salesman. There must have been something wrong with the stripes or another customer said they would buy it if the stripe was removed and then backed out. Believe me, there's more to the story than they're telling you.

Hey so is yours Greg I think yours was one of the first that may have clenched my decision, Now I pray for some sunny days so I can top down, I'd like to find someone to chop a light bar in it to see how it would look ??
#54
I bet the light bar would be sweet.
Yes, Angel gets let out only on nice days. After a few weeks put up with the terrible weather here lately, she was scratching at the door on Sat. When she got let out, she let everyone know it too.
A Black Porsche Carerra GT was chomping at the bit when he caught up to me after i entered the freeway, and he drove next to her giving the thumbs up.

Did you two want to know the temp here today.........

mannn I love perf white, even if is not a color.
black is not a color either.
here are my two cars together, they are sisters, the 2005 and the 2007.
almost the same exact car...
I traded my 2005 and a nissan truck for the 2007
I've noticed certain differences between both, subtle differences I will explain:
I had the change to have both cars for 2 days, so I could take the pics.
the 05 had 3:55's against 3:31's for the 07
thats about it. but...
the 2005 has the in and out of the water lines to the block on top of each side of the motor, the 2007 has it different, one up and one down.
the ride is different also, the 2007 feels more docile but more firm on the road, and the clutch of the 2005 felt like a rock, when the clutch of the 2007 is way softer.
(I dont know if that is better or worst...)
also the 2005 made a clunk every time I parked on my drive way, and the 2007 doesnt do it, they had to made a change or two in the suspension system.
the 2005 has almost impossible to avoind clunks when you go to 1st 2nd and sometimes 3rd, the 2007 is a lot gentler, it doesn't feel so raw.
overall it is a little easier to drive.
on the other hand, the 2005, felt quicker being both stock, no tunes or cai, since the 05 has the 3:55's
it wasn't by much but I could feel the difference.
now the bad stuff on the 2007... I got that TSB that has the moaning of the rear end... maybe because it is too tight, and that is why the 2005 felt harsher to drive and change gears, I don't know.
then, I also noticed that the 2007 is quieter inside, looks like they come with more insulation under the carpet or something.
another thing that might make the newer car slower is that it has the 18" against the 2005 17"s.
and at first I was under the impression that the 2007 had no rattles, but I was wrong, very wrong, they have rattles like crazy!!! Ford needs to be smart and put their cars together better... after almost 3 years building them, they should know better.
well, no more shananigans and here are some pics..
regards!
Oh another thing, is that it looks like the perf white of the 2005 is a little more cream than the 2007...
I can't wait until I put tints and the blackout panel on the '07 !!!
It makes it look so much better.
I hope to get to know the lucky guy that muys my 2005 at greenway ford in one of the orlando meetings...
but I heard they put it for sale for 25800!!!
I got 20000 on the trade in, so if someone want to go buy it, fight the price to get it as low as possible!!
