minus the glove box step...the instructions are basically what i did for the PIE adapter...which works great...if any of you want something now i would really suggest that...its like 90 bucks...but it was worth it to me :dunno:

oh man, why do they keep adding and removing the item...gesh...don't put it in the books until it is available. Enough teasing! :)

Will this work on the F-150 6 disc/mp3 players as well? If so, put me down for one.

Like being able to directly control the Ipod though the headunit? :)

R67Coop 12/24/05 03:30 PM

I just bought a unit called a Neo Ion. Granted, it is not a Ford product but it connects directly to the port in the back of factory or aftermarket stereos and controls the iPod through the stereo buttons. You can still use all your stereo functions as well as the iPod without changing anything. It is not cheap.........around $190. The website has video instructions and the sales people are nice and willing for you to call them for help anytme.

Check it out.

The website doesnt say its compatible with either a 2005/06 Mustang Radio..they tell you otherwise?

R67Coop 12/24/05 03:45 PM

I would call them and ask. Perhaps the website does not tell all. I bought this one as a gift for my son's Honda. I don't even own an iPod so I hadn't checked to see if they worked for the Stang. I would be surprised if it didn't.

i just dropped them an email. From the website it doesnt look like it.

I would love to find something to use in my current SVT Focus and transfer it over to the Mustang when I get it.

The guy I dealt with is Alan Holding, if I remember correctly. He called to make sure I got the order and sent it by air with no extra charge to make sure I got it on time. Nice.

GT98 12/27/05 02:39 PM

I got an email back from MP3yourcar.com and it DOES NOT work with 2005+ Mustangs :(

I'm really tempted to get one for the Focus now and pull it out to pay for Triptunes when I get the Mustang :)

Kevin, could you please add me to the list of anxiously drooling rabid buyers to notify when the improved TripTunes unit becomes available?

Thanks, and Happy New Year! :nice:
