Wonder why the bottom spoke isn't covered with leather.

05stangkc May 24, 2006 09:55 PM

With The Red Stiching this would Look Great on an ICAP or Red Car especially! Time to Get a Grip! In Fact I May just put This on my 07 Redfire GT/CS Due Late June!

kc

JUNE 7th to be exact! It will also be getting some Interior pak parts that were not available on the GT/CS!

Wish they could do one with audio controls...but I guess that wouldn't work with the Shaker 1000...

schmads May 25, 2006 05:34 PM

How difficult is the installation? Does it have the cobra center, or could you keep the original one (I don't want to look like a poser)?

May I also have the updated hotsheets with prices? Thanks!

I second the wish for the audio controls, but oh well.

THE AIRBAG FROM YOUR CAR WOULD BE RETAINED. Install requires Airbag deactivation. As a Dealer I can not reccomend a self install. Your Shop should Charge Approx a Half Hour at their Labor Rate.

StangNut May 25, 2006 09:11 PM

As an average Joe, I can recomend the install.
I just swapped my steering wheel for a wood wheel. VERY easy, but nerve racking since it requires the airbag removal.

schmads May 26, 2006 05:02 PM

Yeah, that's something I would have to have a dealer do. I'm not willing to touch airbag stuff.

I think I'll have to see it installed in an ICAP before I can really decide. I'm really glad we see the option. Thanks KC!

Nothing to the airbag. I'm just the paranoid type.
I disconnected the battery. Waited a little while for any capacitors to discharge, then pulled it out. Just 2 screws.

Wow, very nice. How hard is it to get one and what color stitching is available? Any pricing info?

Wow, cool KC, that would look awesome on my icap package, I do have the iup too tho, so wonder if missing the iup on the wheel would look weird. Could you please email me a updated price list etc. Will be doing this when extra cash is available.

Cheese302 Jun 15, 2006 09:16 AM

Man that thing looks nice, but a little too pricey for me right now. The last leather steering wheel upgrade was not even have the price I dont think. Shelby pricing, LOL, maybe down the road when I got some extra flow. Thanks for the sheets kc.
