Verve Sedan Concept!

http://www.fomoconews.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1512

Check it out. I'm on my lunch break so links are as good as it is going to get at the moment.

Is it perfect? No. Is it better than the Fit and Yaris...oh yeah. Pics of the new Mazda 2 sedan can be found on the same forum as well.

That lower grille screams Aston to me.

GREAT looking small car.

Goddam that's ugly.

I don't normally express opinions regarding small (as in B and C size) cars since they aren't my cup of tea but I do like this one. It's very sharp looking little sled. The only thing I don't like is with the high back, it makes the rear wheels look too small. Being a concept it most likely has wheels bigger than what you'd see in production so the effect would be even more pronounced on a production version.

that lower grill is jst way too big, but overal it looks pretty good.

Gotta remember that the lower grille shrinks and gets bisected by a bumper for production. Overall I'd say they're doing a really good job on the Verve and it should be a good success story for Ford

From what we're hearing, it will look like the other 2 but in a new body style. Possible a 5-door.

A very nice looking small car, does not a all reek of cheap econobox. Grill is on the big size, but its such a nicely done shape and form that is actually kind of works. Rear wheels do look slightly overwhelmed by the rear quarters, but not too badly.

Overall, the lines and forms are clean, taut, and relatively sophisticated, eschewing the rolling appliance look of most cars in this class. Worlds better than the clumsy and ungainly Ford (NA) Focus redo. If the production version closely adheres to the concepts looks and detailing, Ford will have a winner here and Ford desperately needs some viable small, economical cars in their lineup.

Let's hope Ford does not somehow (ir)rationalize themselves out of importing it here, or, if they do bring it over, not to screw it up by altering it for "American Tastes" (what, turn it into a big, fat, gaudy, gas-swilling SUV?) I generally have little confidence in Detroit having any understanding small cars, which they seem to treat with the same relish as eating worms.
