will do, going to run 5psi until we get the manley rods and cp pistons, then going all out for 1000rwhp with a 3 core IC with the return style fuel system. the turbos are brand new garret 60mm units!!

Nice!

Did he modify the truck with new axles? I didn't think you could get an F-150 with anything but 5-lug wheels. Are those F-250 parts?

It's an F-150 7700. It's the exact same as the non super-duty F-250s that they stopped making after 1999. Apparently it got too confusing to non-car people to have two different F-250s. So it's basically a 3/4 ton, hence the 7 lug wheels. We've got one too, no turbos though.

Cool, thanks for the information. I figured it was the non-SD 250, parts-wise, but didn't know if it had different badging or what. I didn't know that.

Yeah, these trucks have F-250 frames and 10.25 semi floating rearends along with f-250 computers. these trucks WILL NOT accept f-150 chips or max tuners or any other sort of computer tuning device even though they are an f-150, this is what we're struggling with now. the chip programmed for the f-150 didnt work so we're having it programmed for a 250 and if that doesnt work we will buy a new F-150 computer and use that. he also has just ordered dual 38mm wastegates

you can find used intercooled procharger set-ups for those all day long for 2200-2400 plus shipping, my uncle just sold his for 2400 plus shipping, if you're interested check out www.got-pressure.com and www.fordtruckworld.com the procharger will put u in the high 13s-low 14s with 9psi, it makes for a fun ride.

also, being that it is a 7 lug, nobody makes aftermarket wheels for it unless you buy them custom, they used to make them though so you can find them now and then used but they are pricey, as you can see my uncle found two different sets, the reason he doesnt use the welds is that they were bent and had a wicked shimmy.

Itd be awesome to get the 5.4 blown, but my dad only drives it when hes haulin stuff around, so he thinks it wouldnt be worth it. :notnice: Ive pushed the point many times though.

Nice truck although im not feeling the hood or the cobra emblem on the grill

Keep us updated on the turbo build.

Btw, if he's shooting for 1000rwhp, he might want to think about just getting a good built shortblock from someone like VT Engines. That way its built to spec to handle that power, has the best forged crank, rods and pistons. Not to mention, its probably gonna be best to go with ported heads and a good cam selection as well.

Could you get me a link to that site? it'd be much appreciated. He is going to use a 50mm waste gate instead of a 38 now and is using a monster 31x17x4 intercooler, flows better than ford's powerstroke intercooler. I dont like the cobra emblem much anymore either, but i do like the hood, a solid steel cowl with two 98 cobra scoops
