Production Jag XF spy shots

I thought somebody had already posted this earlier today, but maybe i'm crazy, i'm sure you'll all let me know.

Looks like about what i was expecting. Definitely not as drop dead sexy as the XF-C from what I can tell, toned down as you'd expect, but i think it definitely has some serious potential. I think i'd prefer this as a sedan, although one of the guys on autoblog had a good point... having a small coupe, a big sedan, and the XF right in between as a "4-door coupe" whatever you wanna call it.

Isn't this a great time of year??!

Pretty good. Jaguar needs something fast to save them.

I dunno, there looks to be a lot of 'S-Type' left over in those doors and in the roofline too. If it looks like a face-lifted S-Type I think it will no doubt fall short of the ground breaking change Jag has been hinting that it will be, and that wont be good.

Actually, I meant from the beltline up so possibly I should have simply left it at roofline instead of roofline and doors. Although the beltline itself has changed more than I was giving it credit for as well after closer inspection.

Even so, I still worry that this still looks a good deal like Jaguar dropped the S-Types greenhouse onto a production ready version of the XFC concept. Perhaps I was expecting too much since Jaguar was forced to pinch pennies in this update. And as we all know changing the roofline is a very expensive under-taking and may not have been practical in this situation.

I may well be wrong, and I sincerely hope that this is an example of reading too much into fuzzy, camo-laden spy-shots.
