Maybe the Flex is a closer to production version of the Ford Reflex concept car from last year. :nice:

THAT would rock :nice:

Yeah, that's what i thought too. Flex, kinda a goofy name, but all names grow on me. I remember disliking Fusion at first. 2007 would be a good time to see what ford's got coming in terms of a b-segment car for the 2009 MY, although 2008 would make more sense. Can't wait for January, although i don't think i'll be making it to detroit this year.

Maybe a Funkmaster edition car??
hehe god I hope not |
Hey Topnotch, can those of us unfamiliar with your connections get an idea of how you know this or how reliable your sources are? Or is this just a "trust me" kind of thing?
|
Well I trust that he wouldn't say anything without a good reason.
MKR sounds like the R-Coupe concept, I'm guessing its the rumored Lincoln/Mustang crossbreed. Flex is interesting. Could be almost anything, altough a B-segment vehicle would go along with teh ReFelx lineage. |
Topnotch is a good source :nice:
|
MKR :dunno:
When is someone going to go beat up the suits in Lincoln's marketing department? I really can't stand this nomenclature they are using |
Maybe its MKS
|
ya, i hear ya galaxie. Lincoln had some sweet names to play with. Navigator's established, and apparently stickin around at least for a while. Aviator was a good little brother to that, even if the vehicle was completely changed this year. Continental is a sweet name, maybe they can't use it on account of Bentley or something. Zephyr was so so, i thought, but yeah... MK... At least its a bit easier to handle with only the last letter changing, unlike Acura or something like that.... TL RL TSX RSX CSX (i think that's only in canada) MDX RDX.... that's pretty rough to keep track of. I just wish Lincoln had stuck with that whole Mark thing. That would make it stand out a lot... maybe they shoulda actually wrote out Mark rather than just MK. I suppose Mark R wouldn't sound that great though.
Anyways, MKR and Flex sound like cars to get excited about, not just more crossover SUVs or anything. Thanks for the tip Topnotch. |
