My F-150 review

I had my F-150 for about 18 months now so here is my short review.

I bought brand new F-150 SuperCab 4x4 in summer of 2005. I only drive it only when I need it so its not a surprise that it have only 3,500 miles. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my truck.

Positive:
-Space. Even though its not CrewCab, it can easily fit 7 people.
-Cargo Capacity. Although its rated at 1,500 pounds, I drove as much as 2,000 pounds in the truck's bed.
-4x4 doesn't show any weaknesses on the snow.

Negative:
-
Fuel economy. I know its a truck, but during the winter with 4x4 I can't get more than 10 mpg.
-4.6L is very underpowered and it doesn't feel as 231 hp.
-Brakes sucks. I hate them.
-Standard equipment sucks. Compared to my Mustang, I don't have anything power, CD player or cruise control.

That's one of the many reasons I got my Mustang. I went to the dealer that day to buy an F150. After 10 years in my 96 F150 with the bench seat and crank windows, I wanted one that was loaded. Those end up coming in at 36K and up, or you can get a slightly used one for $25K, or....brand new GT for $25K!

I got mine for $21,000. MSRP was $29,000, so I think I got really good deal.

I often think that I made a mistake of buying F-150 instead of new Mustang, but when winter and snow come - I'm glad I bought F-150.

Very nice truck. One thing though. Please tell me you don't carry 7 people in your truck. I say this, as there are only 6 seatbelts.

I usually don't, but I did few times. My cousing is coming over for a visit from Serbia and six of us went to the airport to pick him up.

I only use seatbelt if I'm driving, but in F-150 there is that annoying sound even when passenger in front didn't use seat belt.

Hey Zoran, that iis called the "Beltminder". You can deactivate it and it won' ever come back on. Its in your owners manual. You have to use your key and the seatbelt a few times. It works, as I turned off my dad's in his F250 (He's 68, and never wore a belt. No use chaning him now). Give it a try. :nice:

Thanks, I didn't know instructions were in owners manual.
