Mustang-based Interceptor Concept - FIRST PICS!

oh and about the suspension... I'm sure i'll get flamed, and this is probably cause I don't have all that much experience driving cars, but is it possible that the vast majority of the car buying public don't even know what an IRS is? Maybe y'all are thinking that it'll be really obvious when they take the car out for a spin, but how many purchases are made based on how well the car handles a bumpy road in a turn? It could be a deterrent, but I think this is something for the enthusiast crowd to get all fussed up about, and for the rest of the world to not even notice. FLAME ON!

okay last one... first of all, about the whole IRS SRA thing, after saying all that, i still think this thing'll come out with an IRS, along with - or hopefully previewing (i wanna see a production Interceptor soon!)- an updated Mustang in 2010 or something.
At first I was a little put off by that first pic BC put up, the curviness of the front end, but then that gives it that tapered look, just like on the Jag XK, like if you look at it from above, the nose tapers off to a point. That makes it such that the front overhang practically disappears when you look at it from a rear 3/4 view. That's pretty hot.
Also, you get a glimpse of the interior in the shot Andy and Arin used for the cop cars, square gauges in a flat dash... Interesting, good news for cops who like that wide flat dash in the Crown Vic for all their equipment and stuff.

I actually love that front. I just didn't have an angle I wanted to use. The rear is definately stunning, and the front is quite bold.
Lol i guess it works out. Other sport sedans that try and street race it will only see the mahvolous rear, and people running from the police will see something bold and fierce

No more fleet sales...no more diluting of the gene pool and suppressing of Ford's resale value. Let's make this car consumer only for once, OK?
Give the fuzz something else, if you must.

Holy Heck, it's a winner! This thing makes the 300C look like a sad mistake! Gimmie!
I think this has a greater probability of being built than, say the 427 and fourty-nine, becuase they built it smart. It's sourced to an existing pllatform, has a logical layout, and looks buildable. Sure, there's glitz like the V8 being a Cammer instead of a production version, or the 22s, but it nothing too over the top.
Besides, fleet sales get cars built. Make the accountants happy, tell them cops want it, cabbies want it, limo companies want a Linc version...
....and it's got the fanblade wheels. They're like the good luck charm for Ford concpets.

Actually, they remind me a lot of wheels that I've seen before on the recent BMW 7 series - at least I think that was it.

Its so true about that shot though... something about that nose, it struck me right away. The first pic I saw was the first one on Autoblog, i think a front three quarter view, and I loved it right away, my jaw dropped. But when i saw this picture, i was like... what car is this? I think the problem is that crease you've got on the hood, it comes out of the belt line, and it separates the hood from the fenders, but instead of going straight down to the lights, it curves around the front, and that's a little weird and overly 'soft' to me.
Okay... its party time. Happy new year everybody.
