Today I took delivery of a 2006 Escape Limited in Redfire with black leather. Pretty much loaded with only the side-curtain airbags and cargo cover left out. It's a BIG difference from driving the Mazda6 but I love it so far. Here's some pics:

I definitely prefer the monochromatic look of the Limiteds, especially in Redfire. It gives the Escape a more upscale look.

Definitely! The only color I like with an accent is the Titanium Green/LightTundra (same color) with the silver lower accent.

Redfire has a wonderful hue to it when the sunlight hits the paint. The Limited is the best bang for the buck too. You can spec out an XLT and actually pay more than you would for a Limited.

Congrats Mark.
Limited have 3.0L under the hood, right?
Is it 4x2 or 4x4?
Did you trade in your Mazda?

Good luck with it.

Yes, it has the 3.0L. It's a 4X2 (since we don't get much snow or ice down her in Southeast Texas, I didn't see the need). And finally, yes, the Mazda is gone (but definitely not forgotten )

Congrats! My Escape just turned 44,444 yesterday, and have not had one real problem with it! The 05-06 interior is a huge improvement.

That's great to hear! Most everyone I talked that either owned or had owned an Escape, were very happy with them.

The Escapes have a very high customer loyalty. I've sold about 5 of them myself and all but one of the new owners were current Escape owners. We can't keep the used ones on the lot either. They just fly right off. We actually frequently over allow on an Escape just to have a used one on the lot. LOL

I have a Hybrid on order for a customer that should be coming in soon too. They got that thing LOADED!

Let us know how your making out with it from time to time

Looks great man, good luck with it!! I have an '01 that just turned 60,000. I've had minor stuff done and considering this was one of the first ones out there, it's been pretty good. I'm hoping by now they are more quiet on the road. Mine has quite a bit of road noise on the interior. I know it was a common complaint early on. Hopefully it's been addressed.

It seems quiet enough to me. It's certainly not luxury quiet but it doesn't seem to be any noisier than the Mazda that it replaced.

Hey Mark, good choice with a Limited. They do look fantastic in the 1 solid color. I drove Escapes for my company car here at the dealership, and I loved them. Great with the storage space, and when you have the hitch on the back, perfect fr taking the bicycle to the park to ride. Good luck with her, you will enjoy it.
