Bought some new tires for my Escort a couple days ago. No less than half an hour after leaving I got a nail in one. Luckily, for once, I bought the road hazard program. So I got the tire replaced for free.
Yesterday morning we wake up and find one of our wheels stolen! Hubcap, basic black wheel, cheapo tire and our lugnuts are gone. Somebody wasn't going for style but for function I guess. There are all sorts of fancy rims on better looking cars around me. Luckily they put my car on a block. Unluckily the car didn't roll over on the sorry fools. The ebrake doesn't work and the car is parked on a slant so the chances of it rolling were better than normal.
So, I went by Ford yesterday because I figured they'd have a wheel I could buy. I asked one of the salesman outside if they sold full size spares or just the normal black wheel. He said no. So I said thanks anyway. As I turned around he said, "But we sell new wheels on new cars! hahaha". So I looked at his face and went "HAHHAHAHAAA . . . . duh." What a sorry sack of poo.
I guess I'm off to the junkyard. I already bought locking lugnuts yesterday. Had to walk to PepBoy's to get them because without nuts I couldn't even drive.
