GTDi Four Powered F150 for 2013?
According to the folks on Autoblog Ford is seriously considering the possibility. And while my initial, knee-jerk reaction is to scoff at such a package the truth is that a 2.5L GTDi four packing ~260hp and 300lb-ft tq, with the latter likely peaking below 1500-1800rpm, would absolutely move the big Ford more swiftly than the current 2-valve 4.6L and likely every bit as well as a 3-valve 4.6L would. Strictly from the standpoint of power, as a consideration for a base model powerplant it delivers the goods.

According to sources speaking with Pickuptrucks.com, Ford is considering offering an EcoBoost four-cylinder engine on its F-150 pickup in 2013. The boosted mill is expected to displace around 2.5-liters, produce 260 hp and 300 lb.-ft. of torque, and would only be available on the two-door Regular Cab F-150 4x2 and 4x4.
