Ford's 2006 sales
 
Cars up 5.4%, Trucks down 14.3%.

Overall sales were down by 7.9%.

AND they surprised the experts by holding off Toyota for the #2 spot.

Overall could be alot worse. The Volvo # isn't too bad, with the C30 next year They'll be in the +. And Linc was only down 3,000 vehicles, I can see the MKX making that up if it launches well. Hopefully the LR3 will have a big year for LR. Here's hoping for a slightly better 2007, and better years to folow.

Overal sales are down by more than 250,000 units. I don't those models you mentioned will be able to change that. Taurus, which was very good seller, is gone. So is Freestar.

...and they were selling a hell of alot of freestars, weren't they? I never said they'd be back in the + overall next year, I merely said that It's not as bad as it could have been, and with some of the bad news bears going bye bye or being replaced, next year should be just alittle better.

50,000 units (Freestar) is not that small number.
