Interesting angle on reasons to purchase. But tsla's numbers are so out of line with its stock price, a purchase would be like a dot com sucker's bet. Sooner (better) or later they've got to "show us the money!".
I agree a strategic partnership would be wiser than an outright takeover at these prices. Of course speculation of a takeover will only make tsla's number more ridiculous.

And 10 mpg's in just 2 more years? That's insane. People better buy cars now because the price tag will be out of reach.

I don't think the EV fire concerns deserve all the attention they receive.

Gasoline powered cars catch on fire all the time and it's never discussed by the media

I agree for the most part.

However, being a different animal, there are electrocution concerns - be it a bad fire for someone escaping, or for emergency crews... (becoming the ground). Different learning curve.
Look at all the precautions F1 crews have to go through with the KERS.

No one should buy tesla at its current state, it just finally made some profit but only because of money shifting.
