Alright, seeing as how in other forums people are getting all jittery over Daimler's SRT line, here's my ideas of some things ford could do to ease the fears
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ford Fusion GT (AWD) [6spd Auto, 6spd Manual] *IRS*

275hp 240 tq

SVT Fusion (AWD) [6spd Manual) *IRS*

330hp 290 tq

--------------

Ford Focus RX (AWD, FWD) [5spd Manual, 5spd Auto] *IRS*

S/C 2.5l 1-4
225 hp 200 tq

T/C 3.5l v6
330hp 290tq

FORD FOCUS R (Rwd) [6spd Manual] *IRS*

345 hp 390 tq
No rear seats, sound insolation, etc.

-----------------------------------------------

Ford Mustang BOSS 302 (Rwd) [5spd Manual] *IRS or SRA*

5.0l V8
400 hp 400 tq

360 hp 350tq

the 300C won't know what hit it.

more to come

1999 Black 35th GT 1/5/06 01:36 PM

You have some pretty good ideas there Matt. Some of them may come true in the near future.

I would love to see a new Lightning but I think from what I hear Ford has passed that torch to Roush and Saleen, although I am with you on seeing a new one. :nice:

I think the Ford I would love to see the most right now is an FPV Falcon GT-P or F6 Typhoon over here.

Thanks, Andy. Out of all those, I really just wanna see a Crown Victoria that can haul, and kick some major hiney instead of our current 240 hp wonder

05MustangFanII 2/26/06 01:05 AM

as promised, here's the more to come.

Ford Ranger

Ford Ranger XL

the current i-4 with a bit of a power boost..maybe up to 135? 140?

Ranger XLT

3.0L V6 and a Higher output version of the 4.0l..maybe 225 hp?

Ranger Lariat/FX4

4.6l V8 292 hp 300 tq.

5spd Manual on all mentioned above. and an option 4, 5, or 6spd Auto (4 on the 4, 5 on the 3.0l and 4.0l, 6 on the 4.6)

Ford Galaxie

Galaxie LX - 3.5l V6 5spd Manual-5spd Auto

Galaxie GT - 5.4l V8 6spd Manual - 6spd Auto

SVT Galaxie - S/C 4.6l V8 - 6spd Manual / CVT

Comes in Sedan, Vert, Coupe. With AWD, and RWD.

That Lightning would be cool, but I wanna SuperCrew, not RegularCab.

AnotherMustangMan 2/26/06 05:23 PM

If they could sell that SVT Focus for around $28k I would rock it. Especially if I had $28k to spend.

The Crown Vic idea won't work. Mercury already tried that idea and it didn't work.

-An SVT Fusion would be nice. Throw in DI from Mazda and you will gain even more power. MB add Direct injection to a N/A V6 and gained 20 crank hp.

- Instead of your Focus ideas, all Ford has to do is simply bring the Euro Focus to the US. The ST model gets great reviews in Europe.

-I don't see a AWD Mustang, especially in the "R". It will be way too HEAVY.

-I'd love to see the SVT Adrenaline instead of the Lightening. That was a really great vehicle.

-The Ranger needs to be scrapped. It's old and has been left to whither. Get rid of it!
