Hmmm... looks cool to me i guess, nothing out of this world, i dunno. What do you guys say who've actually spent a significant amount of time behind a steering wheel? How does it compare to your escape mark?

I just realized how short the hood on this thing is! I mean, i know we're on a mustang forum and all... but besides style, short hoods just make sense from a space useage point of view.

I think this will be pretty nice, like a escape with 50 more horsepower.

I'm pretty sure it'll be at detroit. LIKE ME! WOOHOO, i'm organizing a trip with my school to detroit for the show!! I'ma go sit in an Edge when i'm there. hehehe.

Ya, I still see this thing as crowding the lineup though... I wish it were closer to a station wagon than just another SUV. Ford could use a wagon based on the fusion in its lineup. Instead all we gots are bloated SUVs... I'm a little let down, i gotta say.

The mazda6 wagon and the dodge magnum are two sweet cars, ford should get into that segment!!!

This looks like a really nice interior layout, hopefully the gaps are tight and the plastic is not cheap.

its the duratec 35... not 100% sure about final outputs, i think it'll depend on which car we're talking about. They're saying it could put out as much as 265hp, i think, something around there anyways. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't quite as much as that in the edge.

How's this thing supposed to compare with the Freestyle?

same thing but smaller i'm guessing? Like, i guess they've kinda got a line of cars, a line of SUVs and a line of crossovers in between including the freestyle (a bit bigger than explorer??) and the edge (between the explorer and escape). Does that make any sense to anyone else?

I thought the Freestyle was a slightly "smaller" looking vehicle (maybe "robust" would be a better descriptor?), but had a little more internal capacity that Explorer.

Dunno...just seems like this Edge and Freestyle are in the same "zone" of crossover and space?

I like the interior. Its a little more classy than the Escape. The steering wheel is taking a lot of ques from the Fusion. I really like the shifter, very nice.

Gauges look flashy too.

Your Escape interior still is very nice Mark. Though it looks like from the console set up that Sat Nav will be an option. Its very close to the layout of the Explorer there.
