Ford delays shipping Edge/MKX

Here's the story. It sounds like they're trying to get it right instead of just getting it out the door. To me, that's the right way to handle it.

Hey Mark, good posting. I just got the email on my desk at work. This is the smart thing to do. We have a couple of Edges already built, but they are in the Ramp Up Hold, to make sure they are all okay to ship. Now, I'm sure some on the site, will come on this topic, and say Ford's blowing it again, but we all should agree, that its better to make sure the Edge & MKX are alright before they hit the dealers, instead of having the customers bring the vehicles back after delivery. Anyhow, its only a few weeks anyway. They said they should be on the ground in December. Thank you Ford, for making sure this vehicle launch goes off without a hitch.

Just so you know, one of the main reasons is we don't have enough manpower at the plant. There is so much bull**** going on right now its disgusting. We have some major issues and management just doesn't care. All the guys on the line are achin' to get this vehicle out there, and it seems like the management in Oakville just doesn't give a ****. Its really disturbing to see nothing getting done.

I just read on Blue Oval News that two superintendents at Oakville have been fired. True?

From what i've heard, it is true. Rumour is the plant manager's next. Good, get rid of all of them and get some people who actually care about the company!

I read where they're now shipping them. I haven't heard anymore about the shake-up at Oakville.

I just hate the nay-sayers on Autoblog. I swear they just wait for a posting about a Ford and then get on there and RAG!
