Not the best looking Ford I've seen, but that looks like a superbly practical small family car.

I can see that becoming very popular over here :)

Well it's a segment that Mazda pretty much dominates with the Mazda 5. Although I don't think there's a terribly large market for it. But as people want better MPGs but still need a minivan for kids this is a fantastic alternative. Maybe Mazda will have to up its game now.

B-Max is actually much smaller than Mazda5 (B-Max is based on Fiesta).

Ford's competition for Mazda5 would be C-Max, which will be available for sale in the USA soon.
