Focus ST discussion
My son has a 2013 ST 3, it's an awesome car. Handles beautifully, very refined, certainly not the heavy handed hammer my '13 BOSS is. If the ST had another 50 HP it would be perfect. After warranty my son plans on rectifying that shortcoming.
I just looked at a Ford Focus ST the other day. It definitely needs more horsepower. It's great looking, rides great, handles great and interior is awesome.... needs more power
To be honest I wouldn't want any more power going to the front wheels.
Oh and Ford, make the ST Recaro seats available in the Mustang, I just don't have the proper proportions to sit right in the Mustang style.
I did the EcoBoost challenge this weekend and I think the Fiesta and Focus ST are right where I'd want them to be. Maybe a small Hp kick would be on but for a car you really can drive its fine. And it rotates. Oh my it actually rotates! It's one of the best cars I've driven if only by how much fun I had.

I was thinking as an option. Since they already have the parts in house. Otherwise I might not choose the Recaro option which is a shame.
I never remember making this thread!! Either I was drunk or it was created by some sort of moderator conspiracy to subliminally advertise for Ford!!
I do like the Focus ST tho...

Just read a nice writeup on two lightly tuned ST fords, so I thought this was a relevant place to repost :P Especially since I'm also running KWs

I just priced one out off a pop-up ad -- came out to $28k for a middle-of-the-road ST. That seems like far too high of a price point -- for that money, you could get a V6 Mustang convertible, and you're not far away from a GT. At $21-22k though, would make a smart DD for a younger person.

Marketing to much the same demographic. Just different uses. So price can overlap.
Who's he talking to?
Why did he say by-the-way (btw)?
I feel like he's not talking to me... but someone... else...
I did own an SVT Focus before though and I'll say that just by sitting in the ST, wow! I want to drive or at least hear one.
Pocket-Rockets are so much fun!
But yeah, my life has been changed by owning a Mustang...
V8 Roar and Rumble, RWD magic, girls check you out 100% more in this compared to my old Focus & Cobalt, and you get to part-take in an American icon!
Maybe one day I can pick up one for a DD because it'd make one hec of a DD.
