Does Sync allow voice control of the in dash stereo?
 

I know that Sync allows voice control of connected external media players and phones, but does it allow you to voice control the in dash stereo? Let's say you have the 6 CD changer, can you control it with voice commands? Also, if you connect a usb thumbdrive with mp3s on it, can you use voice commands to play the music on the thumbdrive?

Just wondering because we are doing some research prior to ordering an '08 Sport Trac, and Sync is a $295 option....

I had training on it right before I left the Ford dealership. Very neat. To bad its not being offered on the more mainstream cars (Mustang, Expedition, Explorer, Navigator, etc). Hey well - if only I were King :)

for $295 you have no choice but to get sync, pretty sweet!

Update:

My memory was faulty: Sync on the Sport Trac XLT is $395 not $295 , plus you have to order the the XLT Convenience Package (autodimming mirror, door entry keypad, auto dimming headlights) so the total to get Sync is $645.

I don't really care for the Convience package, but I would like Sync. It kind of sucks that you have to get both to get Sync.
