4.0L I6 Turbo for fusion?
1 Attachment(s)
Since the falcon shares the same platform as new fusion, what do you think the odds are of seeing the 4.0T motor from the xr6? I think it would be sooooo awesome!

Ummmmmm, Falcon shares nothing with the new Fusion.
New Fusion is FWD and will spawn the next-gen European Mondeo. Falcon is RWD and a relatively old platform. |

Nope, Falcon rides on an Aussie platform. And that I6, while still holding up well, is fairly ancient. Making it work within Emissions and Efficiency regulations in the US and Europe would be a tall order.
The Next Falcon will have a One Ford platform and drivetrain. Possibly a derivative of the next Mustang, perhaps a RWD derivative of an AWD sedan/crossover platform. We'll see. |
You all just pooped on my parade lmao

you could always import a falcon from down under

I don't think Falcon is that impressive, at least not on the straight line. 0-60 mph in 5.3 sec, 1/4 mile in 13 sec ... I mean, even heavy Taurus SHO is better than that.
But it sure looks good. http://i872.photobucket.com/albums/a...221102_717.jpg http://i872.photobucket.com/albums/a...221101_717.jpg http://i872.photobucket.com/albums/a...221106_717.jpg |
I'll take a Falcon over a Taurus any day.

As much as I like Fords, I would actually rather take this Holden/Vauxhall over Falcon.

I find both to be really dated compared to current NA-market cars.
|
