I'm wondering if that's coming through one of the grommets that go through the firewall. If you don't get that fixed, over time the interior of your car will start to have a mold smelling stench. I've had many cars in the past that have that smell and it utterly sucks.

I had a similar problem with my 2005 GT. I noticed water literally pouring in on the passenger side and could not figure out where it was coming from. One day I got curious and removed to cowl panel from under the windshield wipers and found the water was coming in from my cabin air filter. The was a rubber grommet that was stuffed full of pine needles, dead leaves and black slime the the grommet couldn't drain water. There was at least 2" of water in the compartment, enough to reach the bottom of the filter and soak through the filter. That's what was causing my leak. I took out both grommets (there was one on the drivers side which had the same amount of water but no way to get into the car so I didn't even know it was full) and I never had an issue again.

The only other way is maybe to pull the carpet back and then have a friend squirt a hose and spray water while you go up under the dash with a flashlight until you can find out the source of the leak.

The problem I see is that if one mechanic is assigned and he tries to diagnose it by himself, the leak could be overlooked. It's easier if 2 people look for the leak. One goes under the dash while the other squirts the water. Most places will not assign 2 mechanics to do a job.

Your welcome. I hope you get that fixed. You want to be happy with that car. If it starts to smell like mold and mildew every day, you won't be happy.

Good luck and let us all know how it turns out.

Low Freon?

So Sames Ford, in Bastrop Tx has now had my 2017 Mustang 2 weeks coming on Monday.
Today they messaged me to say, it had low freon, which caused excessive condensation, and WAS a known issue. If this is a known issue, why have I been dealing with this since last August? They said due to the extra condensation, it was NOT able to drain fast enough and would drip down on my foot, inside the car.
My question was: shouldnt the drip pan drain as fast as it fills? UNLESS there was a drip pan clog or blockage? (No answer yet)
Im just in awe!

You do know you can take your Mustang to any Ford dealer you want to? I ordered and received my Mustang (2011) from a Ford dealer 15 miles from me. All of my recalls, warranty work etc. has been done at a Ford dealer 5 miles from me, with no problems at all Check around and read reviews about the other Ford dealerships near you.
