2010 Volvo S60 concept
While it's still a Ford, this is the apropriate forum. Don't know about 2010 though.
Anyway, who still thinks Volvos are boxy cars?...

A lot of Concept Cars, have Suicide Doors, Cause Suicide Doors are Just Cool Like That. But technically these aren't Suicide Doors. They open almost like a Van's, but not really. Kinda odd in my opinion.

Maybe I'm looking at this all wrong, but if I'm understanding the way those rear doors open, what's keeping them from being able to pivot around and gouge the quarter panel?
I know it's just a whiz-bang concept car, but still.

...Magic?
lol, or there could be stoppers/bumpers in the door hi8nge assembly that are either too far deep in the door and body to see or the surface we see of the door linkage is just a cover for a mechanism that allows the doors to open as far as they do but no farther
if that makes any sense...

I like it. A little more aggressive looking, but still elegant. Can't wait for an R version.

Volvos really haven't been to boxy since the S60 replaced the S70 back in 2001. I think the S60 concept indicates a very well done evolution of the current car's styling theme, introducing some very interesting new design elements without falling into Banglesque overstyling and a self-conscious need to be different for difference's sake.
It will be interesting to see if and how some of the concept's elements, such as the assymetric seats, get translated into the production car.
