It looks like side vents are the new "in thing" with Ford designers....

So they'll be unveiled tomorrow at 11:20 I take it...?
And what about the 2008 F-150?!?

I'm diggin both..

I-I'm sensing..the..170 hp i4 from the Fusion in the focus...and....a DISI turbo 276 hp version from the Mazdaspeed 6 and 3..

Whats that last thing? And...404?!

My ONE complaint is that the 500 would look alot better with split dual exhaust...

I'm liking both cars! I am shocked at how different the Focus is!

Focus, 500, 'Aeroblimp' <yawn>. Oh dear.

Focus = hopeless interior, so-so exterior and...yippee, drum brakes in the rear >> real cutting edge stuff.

'Aeroblimp' = Another design wetdream that siphoned valuable funds from the sagging titty of Ford Motor Co. A guaranteed one way ticket to the boneyard, along with the 49, 427 and Reflex...though not nearly as attractive as any of those.

500 = warmed over lunch, but far and away the best of the bunch. It might actually qualify as a bonafide contender now, even if it doesn't set the segment on fire (nice, too, to see that the HVAC controls - including the NAV system - are getting a little brightwork on the switchgear). The 500 would benefit enormously if they cut a few inches out of the greenhouse, IMHO.

Still waiting for some real "bold moves," ya know, the kind the average consumer can get excited about and actually drive home? Message to Ford: the first thing you do when you’re in a hole is to stop digging.

Hopefully these products are just stop-gap measures and we'll see some real excitement in 24 months.

I'm a little surprised with the Focus. Though it may be a stop-gap, I think it's a much better overall package. I don't understand the 'hopeless interior' comment. Have you seen, sat, or touched the new Focus interior, BC? If you have, could you elborate more. Are the materials same-old, same-old? To me, the interior reminds me (a little) of the S40.

The Five Hundred needs more help than what Ford has provided. It better not take 3 years to work on the next styling updates.
