at least the tail lights look unique...
(by the way, should i not be posting the pics cause of the copyright stuff? or is it okay cause i'm not taking credit for them and it says the photographers name on them...)

I was wondering when you were going to get around to posting these pictures. (Yeah . . I had a hunch you or TomServo would.)

The pictures are fine since they already have a copyright on them.

Wouldn't have been me. This is the first time I've seen them. With all the camo it's hard to tell them from the Edge photos.

Yeah . .the camo on the Edge and Aviator are quite similiar.

I like the proportions on both.

check this line out:
"What's to say that's the smallest Lincoln of all?" Horbury asked, pointing to the Zephyr. "The design department is deeply involved, not just in how the vehicle should look, but in what the vehicle should be."

I wonder if maybe we could indeed get the european focus over here, just with a lincoln badge and styling to justify the higher price. cough cough don't forget the st.

I think the aviator looks good so far, couldn't find a shot of the front though. Do you think it'll have the verticle slats or the egg crate grill like on the concept? I would guess vertical slats, despite what horbury says about not making all the cars have the same design. I think ford will really want to stick with that distinctive grill for each brand.
Looking at that tale kinda scares me when i think of 90 something oldsmobiles with that horizontal light treatment.... but i think this is a lot better. I could definitely see it in black.

Looks like this is just a clay model though.

TCC has a little blurb about it too:
http://www.thecarconnection.com/Auto_News/...S173.A9529.html

It says the Aviator/Edge/CX-7 are all on the 6 platform.... that settles that, i got confused at one point, reading that the CX-7 was based of the C1 platform.

Also says the engine will most likely be a 245hp v6, i guess that's the Duratec35.

Call me crazy but I love the Aviator they have now. I would really have liked to see the new one based on the new Explorer.

I don't think they bother putting mufflers on clay models. You can see them underneath the bumper. Plus the front wheels are turned slightly to the left. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but clay models don't have working steering.
