It seems to be trying to differentiate itself from the Edge by being more rugged, as opped to the classy look to the edge |
I hope it looks more truck like. It needs to.

SullyND put up this link on that thread about the Australian 2007 Escape, which in the end is not what we're getting, thankfully (IMO).
its got a shot of the undisguised front end: http://blogs.edmunds.com/.ee8f164 Also, autoblogs article links to TCC, but the link is a photo that doesn't actually show up on the TCC site: http://www.autoblog.com/media/2006/02/escape.jpg edit: looks like that photo is just one of the photos from edmunds edit #2: looks like they swapped that photo to a current hybrid escape |
I don't really know what to think.

I don't really know what to think.
I agree in sorts. I'll have to see what it looks like when it comes out to make a final decision. The headlights look a bit better from that pic. Kind of like the Edge's in a way. |
I always have such a hard time forming an opinion on what a feel about a vehicles appearance hen they are disguised like that. Which, I suppose, is why they do that.
|
^^
Looks more or less the same to me. |
It doesn't look too bad but I'd like to see it without the camo. Also, I remember reading that it's based on the same platform as the Edge which in effect makes it a "mini" Edge.
|
Nothin' wrong with that!
|
Looks pretty good. The small SUVs can't putt off the crossover look without looking too minivan or station-wagon so going rugged makes sense. And with Dodge releasing the Nitro soon giving Escape a bit more "badazz" to compete couldn't hurt
|
If the Nitro didn't look so much like regular "azz," I'd be more worried about it.

There is nothing wrong with that though And its IMPOSSIBLE to determine what it looks like with the camo on, so dont get your panties in a buch everybody |

So you're saying that's incorrect and it's staying on same platform and just getting a facelift? |
Looks like it will be taking a lot of Explorer styling cues. Maybe more of a "Baby Explorer" look to it.....

ITs a step up from the current one. Still dont really like it.
|
well i cant make a whole decision yet, but the nose on the new escape looks rather spiffy.
